  Place and service hasn't changed much in years. Food and service is generally consistently good for pub fare but on too many occasions the white meat dishes are overcooked or not made to expected standards especially red meat dishes. Used to to be a young lad kitchen hand there who could often cook better than the chef!! Need to get rid of the old sour puss at the bistro counter and send her to charm school. Doesn't seem like she wants to be there and puts off travellers from ever returning for life! Always a nice atmosphere in Clanys dining room though, although the pokies right next to the front bistro is down right annoying and unpleasant dining experience and needs a wall and a door to suppress the racket from the machines. Toilets always clean too which says a lot

  Plenty of staff so dont wait long to get served. Toilets are as rank as a 3rd world countrys sewer pit! Hope the kitchen is more hygienic. Food is usually pretty good although the girls who bring out the orders from the kitchen to the front counter need to call them out straight away and not leave it for someone else to do or it sits there and goes soggy and cold!! This happened to me many times so I ask the girl straight away to call out the order. Apart from those two things its a great local business with local owners

  Very convenient as it's 24hr but damn they need more staff!!! When it's busy I just walk out and go into the town centre or you wait for up to 30mins to pay for fuel or premade subpar roadhouse food although the fresh cooked chips are ok. Only see 2 staff at any given time who seem to have to do massive shifts. Go to Caltex and there's 4-6 staff. Stop being so tight and have more staff on OTR!!!
